Antibacterial agents for systemic use. Cephalosporins of the first generation.
Therapeutic indications
Infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to cefazolin:
- respiratory tract infections;
- infection of the genitourinary system;
- infections of the skin and soft tissues;
- infection of bones and joints;
- sepsis;
- endocarditis;
- infection of bile ducts.
Prevention of surgical infections.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to antibiotics of the cephalosporin series and to other β-lactam antibiotics.
